Grandmother Kaariina of the Turquoise Heart comes to this portal of Universal Heart Wisdom with 40 years of educational, experiential services at all stages and ages of the Wheel of Life.
Recognized as a Shell Fellowship winner, Ms Saarinen has developed manuals, published and edited newsletters has coordinated programmes for Conferences in her profession as a Guidance and Career Facilitator at board, regional, provincial and national levels in Canada.
She was 1 of 20 Career Facility Counsellors in Canada for 2 and half years, evolving an in-depth knowledge and somatic wisdom of the decision-making process, learning styles, and values-driven choices.
Kaariina offered 8 plus years of service to staff development within the Carleton Board of Education, serving in leadership positions as well as winning a position in the Board’s Leadership Training. Her initiative: Visionary Leadership: without a vision, the people die!
The driving quest in Grandmother’s personal, relational, ancestral and thus, professional life has been to trust that there is always a way to resolve differences, that there is an undercurrent of unifying principles beneath all cultures, colours, and creeds on earth. Her continuum is a tide of discovering how all life out into the universe and beyond is all interconnected.
She has co-founded a Healing House: The Whole Way Home, funded by REIKI training, and a REIKI clinic. Served the indigenous wisdom of the sweatlodge, firstly for 3 plus years, smoking seven pipes of seven differing native traditions. All aligned to the new and full moon cycles.
The Way of Family Council, an indigenous adaptation of Adler’s Family Council, served as a forum for developing compassionate communications and cooperation within the home.
That venue of weekly circles arose from her 9 years of commitment to Parent Education and Family Enrichment in the Ottawa area. She was acknowledged by that community as Parent Educator of the year 1981 after 5 years as OYSTER newsletter publisher and editor, 5 years as Parent Study Group co-facilitator, as coauthor of Dyadic Model for Cofacilitation.
Travelling during these years and beyond, Kaariina has now initiated and trained over 50 REIKI masters, many of whom advanced the trainings by delving into the Ways of Medicines and ceremonial life.
In 2009, after a diagnosis of nonhodgkins lymphoma, GMA dedicated herself to a three-month Intensive self-healing and ancestral bloodlines reversal of that signature. All were guided by her MOTHER’s spiritual forces and those lineages of women earth healers.
She stands as living proof that this deep natural way of realizing what the human potential is capable of has been another theme in her self narrative.
In 2012, Grandmother of the Turquoise Heart was invited to begin a series of ceremonial offerings at transformational festivals, with the strong intention of bridging youth with Elder cultures, knowing that these forms would transmute into Gatherings.
Since then, her Spirit and Medicine Family of youth now maturing profoundly, have offered opening and closing ceremonies as well as workshops at multiple festivals, at Tribal Alliance: Leadership Immersion, at Forest Dance, at Spirit Weavers Gatherings, at La Senda: a labyrinth of oneness, at Black Mountain NC: Warrior Goddess Trainings, in Peru and Bolivia, 13 days of a Return to Feminine Wisdom, and in Costa Rica: Sacred Women Wounds and Wombs: Root to Rise retreats.
GMA’s personal mythological JOURNEY of LIFETIMES includes 4 years as an Abuella for Danza de Luna (she now carries the obsidian pipe for gender neutrification), 4 three month solo retreats in various settings, 1 month tending the Sacred Fire in northern BC to support the retreat of her apprentice at the Temple of Light in Peru.
Her love of the wilderness and self-sustainability and resourcefulness were well tended to by their father within the family, Northern Ontario: land of the Great Lakes.
SISU, the Finnish trait of unstoppability, is infusing all that Gma offers on earth in service for the benefit of the whole.

The FOUR SACRED WHEELS are now one of her foundational offerings, in alignment with the Greater Blueprint of the universal truth and purpose. These WHEELS: Elemental, Grief, Transformational, Commitment are deeply embedded in her REIKI self-mastery and self-realization curriculum.
Dai Koo Myo: Mastery of Light Being is a unique genetically keyed and coded aspect of her life’s purpose. Offerings began on JUNE 11, 2020 for 8 weeks as a response to humanity’s trauma activations. This travelling through timelines and time-space, into the multidimensionality of what we are truly, is Grandmother Kaariina’s synthesis of these 70 plus years of living and evolving on Planet Earth!
